Angel Island Immigration

Tiburon, CA, USA

Restoration of an historical 14,000 SF immigration station. The project included stabilizing and rehabilitating the wood-framed barracks building and restoring landscape to its original appearance during the period of historic significance.

During excavation a Miwok tribe member was present and worked closely with our crews. Thus, when an archaeologically significant site was located during excavation the state archeologist performed archeological digs and the project was redesigned to accommodate the discover.
